WHY SHOULD I USE GRANITE SHIELD AND NOT A SEALER OFF THE SHELF?

With Granite Shield, your granite becomes maintenance free and you receive a LIFETIME WARRANTY. All other sealers, you need to seal your stone every six months to a year. Even then, over-the-counter sealers will allow stains through, especially acidic juices, alcohol, vinegar and oil. Flooring is under warranty for 10 years, 5 years at 100%.. You never have to seal your stone countertop again.

WILL GRANITE SHIELD INCREASE THE SHINE ON MY COUNTERTOP?

Yes! If your countertop is glossy, Granite Shield increases the shine on your countertop considerably.

WILL GRANITE SHIELD MAKE MY MATTE FLOORING OR HONED COUNTERTOP SHINY?

No. When Granite Shield is used on matte or honed finishes, the surface stays matte or honed. There is no shine added; however, if your stone is shiny, it will increase the shine considerably.

WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE PITS AND FISSURES IN MY STONE?

Granite Shield noticeably decreases the natural pits and fissures in stone, but will not fill them in.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY GRANITE SHIELD?

An average sized kitchen countertop takes approximately 1 - 2 hours to apply by our authorized applicators. Flooring will vary depending on the square footage.

DO I NEED TO LET MY STONE “CURE” AFTER GRANITE SHIELD HAS BEEN APPLIED?

No. Your stone will be ready for use as soon as Granite Shield is applied.

MAY I APPLY GRANITE SHIELD MYSELF?

Becausee of our LIFETIME WARRANTY, only an authorized applicator may apply Granite Shield

WILL MY MARBLE & TRAVERTINE STILL BE ABLE TO ETCH?

There is no product on the market that can make marble or travertine etch-proof; however, Granite Shield will reduce the etching on your marble and travertine up to 80% and Granite Shield has etch removal polishes which take about 5 minutes to remove an etch or repolish. Acidic juices, alcohol and vinegar can etch your marble and travertine if it is left unattended on your stone surface.

WILL MY GRANITE STILL BE ABLE TO ETCH?

No. Granite Shield is etch-proof on granite and we back that up with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Absolute Black and Blue Bahia can etch because they have Calcite in them.

WHAT IF I ALREADY HAVE STAINS AND/OR ETCHES IN MY STONE?

Granite Shield applicators will be able, for a fee, to remove any stains or etches in your stone. In most areas we offer full restoration services to our customers.

CAN GRANITE SHIELD BE APPLIED OUTDOORS?

Yes. Granite Shield can be applied to any surface outdoors.

CAN GRANITE SHIELD BE USED ON OTHER PRODUCTS?

Yes. All hard surfaces can be protected with Granite Shield: all stones, glass, stainless steel, wood, cement, brick, fiberglass, porcelain, tile, grout and MUCH MORE!

Testimonial from Jon Francis, a marble and granite buyer:

"I recently had 'Granite Shield' installed on the granite countertops in my personal home. Having worked in the natural stone industry for many years, I was leery of the claims made by this supplier. After the installation, I purposely tried to stain the tops with olive oil and red food coloring, but was unable to produce a stain. I highly recommend this system." 10/18/02

Testimonial from Dorthea P. Kalby
Dear Granite Shield,

After our wonderful kitchen refacing/remodel by Kitchen Plus, and at their suggestion, we had Granite Shield applied to the Labrador Antiqua countertops. The application made the color richer and the surface feel even smoother. That was not the best part.

NOTHING gets through the Granite Shield. Everything, dripping glasses left over night, spilled wine, liquor etc. just wipes off with plain soap and water and buffs with a cotton towel, easily, to the original, beautiful finish.

We are so pleased that we listened to Dave at Kitchen Plus and got the Granite Shield. We have recommended it to anyone we know who has granite or is considering purchasing a new countertop.

Sincerely,
Dorthea P. Kalby

Michael Lamm says:

'I was a skeptic at first but Granite Shield does work. My granite was sealed several times with a penetrating sealer and was still absorbing liquids. I was worried about staining so I finally tried Granite Shield. I purposely have tried to stain it to put it to the test and it just would not stain. Then one day my three year old got hold of a permanent magic marker and I was sure we were in trouble. I called Granite Shield in California and they told me to clean it with some denatured alcohol and to my surprise it just came right off without even having to go over it again. I'm impressed with Granite Shield. Not only is the warranty good for life but it's transferable. I don't think you can do better than that.'

(Michael Lamm was so impressed with Granite Shield, Michael decided to become a Granite Shield applicator.)

Karan Barber from Monroe, North Carolina 28110 says:

'My name is Karan Barber and I am the Granite Shield Distributor for this area. This product is terrific. It truly is amazing! We have Shielded several types of stone and put them to the test. We put red wine, red Kool-Aid, iodine, brake fluid, oven clean, lemon juice etc. on the shielded stone, left it on for 24 hours and it wiped right off with a wet paper towel. Water beads on honed stone.'

Thanks,
Karan Barber
